I'm in Canada, so our weak $ doesn't help.

Sorry for such a late update. I did research the specific wire im using and unfortunately that particular brand/type is only sold in 500-1000ft increments. It is very costly at nearly a $1 a foot.

I did further research to find alternatives. I came up with a few things on amazon and eBay, a couple company's will sell in smaller increments but I couldn't find any specifics on the durability/quality.
The wire I'm using has a decent tempature rating as its used for wiring fire alarms/security systems. I'm not sure its so critical to use something that extensive for things like the knock sensor.

Anyways, Hope this helps in your search for shielded wire. Ebay offered the best pricing for smaller amounts.

After scavenging blower motors down in Tacoma, I stopped at PIA.

Ignorance is bliss. Looks like she has a blown head gasket. However I think the car has had a blown head gasket since I bought it, as it's always gone through coolant.

So, now I need to get serious about another Suby!

Why not just replace the head gaskets and not have to worry about another car?

325 thousand miles would recommend a rebuild. I would prefer if it didn't consume so much oil. The suggested cost of the rebuild was $4500. Or is that way off?

4500 seems a little high to me.

Glass Headlights!

Did the brakes 2 weeks ago and just now got to finishing the master cylinder bench bleed I had to do because I accidentally drained the reservoir.

I'd grab a used ej20g on ebay for under 2k before i spent that kind of scratch on rebuilding a 22t

Re ring it, a set of bearings and gaskets would be just fine.

I'm thinking about getting a salvage engine, and getting that one done, and doing a swap.

Both Sunwest (though it's a phase 2) and S & J have rebuilt EJ22 for under $3000.

I really wanted to get it through one more emissions test, and then put a EE20 in it.

EE20 FTW! I was actually talking to a friend about interesting swaps for boring cars (in this case my DD, a 1998 outback) - either an ez30 or ee20 would be badass. An EZ with a manual and an exhaust sounds like sex

Replaced the broken power windows plug under the driver seat in the SS. Sunroof and windows have power again. I also swapped to glass headlights on my outback and installed an SUS grill. Headlights are night and day different! Couldn't be happier!

Nice, I want a set of glass headlights, but I can't bring myself to $200+ on a set, I'm too cheap. And what's this power plug for Windows and sunroofs? My sunroof works about 20% of the time. But when it works everything works fine.
