wrapped up my engine timing system rebuild. it got sidetracked at about 90% completion tracking a rattle down. Rattle turned out to be 3 hand tight bolts on the flexplate, Way to go AAMCO! still need to out on the airconditioner belt tensioner and overflow for the radiator. Charging system seems to have developed a problem. will work on that tomorrow.

Right fender light is wired in to blink and stay off the rest of the time. I can get a video up of how they work and the basic process too, if needed or wanted.

Installed seven color L.E.D.s in the dash, only in the 194 socket though. So far I don't mind my gauges changing color while I drive and I think its pretty sweet actually. I also priced a gl wagon roof rack at $30 from the local wrecking yard and it will fit the roof of the sedan, I measured the roof on my car and the roof rack and its shorter both ways by like half an inch. I also got a price on projector headlight from a couger, $100 for both and then I can do dual beam projectors in a post-facelift, I haven't seen a retrofit on a post-facelift yet so I'm hoping to be the first.

Matt, I hear you on the chrome removal, thats one of my goals too. Back on topic, I replaced the fuel filter because I'm sure some crud got in the lines during the tank swap.

Engine stopped running yesterday. Rather than turn smoothly when trying to start the engine loped. Pulled the covers off and sure enough she was out of time. Get the center cover off and the lower gasket from the timing cover had wrapped itself around one of the ideler pulleys. Really? That thin little rubber gasket caused my timing to jump? Anyone got a cheap way to install a timing CHAIN?

I picked up a EJ22T longblock and every sensor, vaccum line, everything under the hood pretty much for $130 out of a TW at my local salvage yard with 130k miles on it, got a rear diff out of a 91ss with LSD for $20, a turbo bumper off the TW for $20, sunroof assembly inld headliner for $50 this week. So, pretty much Christmas came early. I'm so stoked, turbo legacys come through our yard like once a year if at all. I plan on rebuilding the second engine with forged internals .40 over, have it machined for a phase 2 2.5 crank to give me the 2.35 L. Still pondering swaping to either a DOHC setup or a phase 2 EJ22 heads with a custom up pipe to clear the head. Still need to insatll my TD04 and Innovate wideband, probably do it this weekend So, thats what i have going for my Legacy at this point in time.

Well it was yesterday but I finally put the left fender light back on with the blinking set up only to find it does something weird. Heres a video from my phone. Off topic but if you listen closely you can hear the frogs that live by my house.

Replaced the knock sensor...in the dealership parking lot!!! I'm not sure if it helped though cause I haven't reset the computer yet but I got the battery unhooked so it will be clear in the morning. I also drove all the way to Kalama, WA from Port Angeles. And I got some weird feedback from the car, bucking at 80mph when I would speed up, I'm not sure what the cause is... Finally, the right corner light tried to commit suicide at 80mph, I thought it was a tire that popped.

replaced the $400 OEM Piece of crap MAF that PRE installed with a $30 Autec MAF, appears to have solved all my issues. Nothing like knowing your just tossing money away. I frequently ask myself why I pay people to do this to me.
