There's a concert going on in the area during the weekend of this meet too in case anyone cares. It's the Stonehenge music festival and it's a friend of mine's house, his backyard actually. There's going to be lots of music, it's free or cheap and there's a place to camp for the night. It's over on Sunday. Just something to think about.

Really, it's that weekend? That kinda sucks. Are you gonna go to that or the F&S?

I'm going to try and do both but since the F&S is only one day I could easily do that and then do the Stonehenge that night. You should go too if you can, during the daylight hours it's family friendly and even the early evening hours. If nothing else there's stuff to do, trails and the like.

any of the bug eye WRX owners around here drive a WRB one with some swoopy style aftermarket wing? I saw one on the way back from getting my tux at Boscov's in Shamokin Dam today wondering if he's a known local and if he's coming to the speed and feed, Matt, Scott, any idea? he was heading up north, granted there are a ton of possibilities but you never know

I know Brandon (blizwinter) was running an aftermarket wing for a while and his is a WRB bugeye. IIRC though, I'm thinking he's running a ver8 wing right now though.

definately wasn't a V8 Sti wing, does he have any decals on his car? like a big yellow subaru on the hood?

Nah, I don't think so.

ok, probably some local with questionable modding taste... when I pulled up next to him at a stop light he didn't even look in my direction... not very friendly

Another STI's coming now.

I've seen this subby driving around with a big yellow Subaru decal and the stars too on the side. That guy doesn't seem very friendly either but, in case you haven't noticed, not that many people around here are too friendly and open anyway.

That's a older Legacy GT with the decals isn't it? Or is it a rex?

Wasn't he running the S202 replica wing at the last meet? He was a cool guy, ran some amazing times on a stock WRX.

Matt - Are you going to Brent's BBQ?

Chris was the one that ran a 13.9 in his stock black WRX at the shootout.

Brandon had the blue one with the wing (not sure if it was a S202 replica or not) but he had to work the day of the shootout and didn't come down to run. He went with us to the pre-party at W&L Subaru and he was at the F&S BBQ last year too though.

With my clutch situation I'm not sure I can make it to Brents. :( I really want to come though. It sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun.

:( You gotta come!!!!! I will pick you up on Saturday Morning if I have to. It's probably not THAT far away from his place...

Are you SURE Brandon wasn't there? I SWEAR he was!

Ok, it is an older GT. I saw it again Saturday. Are you still having your bbq, Matt or has that changed?

Wow Phil, that is hardcore! Round trip, that would be around an extra 5 hrs to your trip. That'd be 3.5 hrs up from your house to get me, another 2.5 back down to Brents house for the BBQ, then back up 2.5 hrs to drop me off, then another 3.5 back to your place. That's a lot of driving bro. I really, really wish I could come but I can't ask you to go that far out of your way just for me.

Are you still thinking about staying at my place and going to STPR june 4th? Then we got the F&S on the 17th-18th of June and you'll be staying here. Do you really want to drive up here every two weeks for the next 6?

Man I don't know. I think he had to work. Chris was the one in the black rex that was running 13's and we were all stoked on. He's also the one who had the girlfriend with the Impreza that had the EJ22T swap.

My buddy Dan was there with his WRB rex. He was running very low 14's. Like 14.1, IIRC, in his stock rex. He's the older guy with glasses. He runs the stock wing though.

Oh ya, I'm totally still having the F&S BBQ/shop night. This BBQ that Phil's mentioning is a MAIC meet this next weekend. :)

Phil, is your friend with the Stage 4 WRX coming?

How was Dan amazing? Not to say he wasn't. I'm just curious what struck you about him so much.

Edit: I wanted to say that I think he's a good mechanic and that we used to work at the same place. At wyrope you have to make do with very little supplies, it's almost like junkyard wars.

He was coming up with ideas to correctly jerry rig Matts car to work, and the fact that he was pulling 1.7 60' times bone stock. Pretty sweet :)

Ya, Dan is pretty damn handy. He's a good guy.

Well, I ordered the SPEC stage 1 clutch kit, ACT Streetlite FW and a Walbro 255 FP. So have fun looking at my tail pipe boys!

*cough* ok Matt... we'll see what happens...

I hope we both get into the 100+ club. I'm shooting for a trap right around 105 or so.

Listen to you guys. I hope we BOTH get into the club. I haven't installed my mods yet but we'll see. Matt's been saying he'll help me out some but I think he's avoiding it so that I'm not a threat.

lol, what? We can compete at the track all day long, but at the end of the day, we are still friends. Not gonna bother me one bit if Matt's faster.
