update:5/18/2011

trying to peice the car back together and get it ready for when i drive back to GA in June.

finally fixed my fog light wires so they work, had a confusion wiith the relay. bought brackets so i can install the fogs and keep them from falling out of the car when i go over a bump.

shifter parts, what a difference this made. wish I would had done ths when I bought the car.

Where are you planning on mounting the new blinkers? And a possibilty to make them brighter, mount an led strip on the top and bottom of the light housing along with the one on the back. If you can find some side emitting led strips in amber, those would be best for mounting on the top and bottom. The only other thing I can think of to make them brighter is to get silver or "chrome" spray paint and put that in the housings to make them somewhat reflective.

Doesn't sound quite as load as I would like but it is a very nice setup now with the after market headers and straight pipe to the muffler. Only one cat.

Finally got the car dynoed.
1st pull in 4th gear- 112.66HP/123.27Torque
2nd pull in 3rd gear- 115.60/122.99Torque
3rd pull in 3rd and without filter- 114.65/122.24Torque
Image
Image
I was very pleased with the results as I think they were also. I thought it was going to maybe 100. 261,000 miles and the old girl still had some power.
Image
Then I wrapped the headers, just need to spray them later.

Great numbers for a naturally aspirated car! It looks to be a little lean throughout the range, I wonder if that is because of the free flowing exhaust now. Open loop calibration might be a little off.

So started painting the car on Friday and was hoping to be done by Sunday but thats not going to happen. Ran out of primer and my roommate is gone so Ill have to wait tomorrow and just get the primer done and wet sanded and ready to paint next weekend. Also removed the trim pieces along the top of the doors.
How to remove exterior trim pieces
Pull the rubber seal down and then remove these screws. This is a bracket just for the seal.
Image
Image
Image
After you have removed the screws remove the seal bracket
Image
Next there will only be 3 screws for the front and 1 in the rear. Once these are unscrewed you can remove the trim from the car.
Image
Image
And don't forget this little guy for the outside triangle or you'll break this just like the inside triangle.
