lol. i'll be making a lot of mistakes. i will try my best to get this done as fast as possible so you wont make the same mistakes that i did. but then again you are already experienced so i'm guessing you won't run into the problems i will, but this will be a fun spectacle for "onlookers." =). i love this forum.

ok so i am the biggest moron in the world... stupid interior lights were dim because i accidentally moved the dimmer twister knob thing. yes i am publicly admitting i am dumb... this project is going to be so much fun...
and on top of me being so dumb, all my performance parts are all on special order.... websites and their false "estimated shipping dates" .... so much for a summer swap... sigh..

Re: Mesoslow6969's 1994 Touring Wagon EJ257 swap
I am going to be ordering a 255 walbro fuel pump. The GSS341 is a direct fit for my car correct? If I get this pump do I need the install kit? I know the GSS342 is for the 04 sti...
hmmm... I still have to figure out if the wiring for my cars pump can be wired in to my 04 set up...
wow i think i just answered my own question... or did i..?
man i keep doubting myself today... i need to take a break... lol
Now i gotta figure out if the rear sub-frame from the sti will bolt up to my car. hopefully it does so i can order the outrigger bushings or whatever they call it. I just hope i can just bolt the whole rear end together and everything fits when i start the break down process. I know for sure the main problem i will run into is the driveshaft (too long, too short, w/e).

Re: Mesoslow6969's 1994 Touring Wagon EJ257 swap
Oh, I guess you're right: Note:
Back when I bought mine from them they used to be under the domain wallbro255.com and they sold a kit specifically meant for 93-98 imprezas so I bought that and it bolted right up and plugged in just fine. This product can also fit the 1998-01 GC8-style Impreza models. It will require the GSS341 pump instead of the GSS342. Please make a note with your order if you require this alternative.

So I brought most of my parts to get ceramic coated. I think I got a decent deal. These are the items I am getting ceramic coated:
Invidia bellmouth 3" down pipe
Ported sti intake manifold
Ported tgv deletes
Oem exhaust manifolds (ported at crossover pipe)
Grimmspeed crossover pipe
Grimmspeed Up pipe

The shop that i took it to, quoted me $295 for everything except the up pipe (i didn't get the pipe in the mail yet). Dropping off the up pipe on friday. They said it will take about 2 weeks to get all the stuff coated. I hope it comes out good. =)

Re: Mesoslow6969's 1994 Touring Wagon EJ257 swap
Still Waiting on AVO to ship me my turbo inlet tube... slackers... I figured since i need to replace the inlet tube (previous owner of the car broke the tube when lifting engine out), get all the stuff that is in the way cleaned up and ceramic coated.
Also, I heard stories about bad things happening to cylinder 3 with fuel not being able to get to it.. or something like that. I figured while i'm in there might as well do the parallel fuel line conversion. Found one on a forum that was cheaper than doing it myself.

I will be doing an oil pan gasket and figured while i am going to be in there do the oil pick up tube and the windage tray. I read that Honda bond is the best gasket maker, so i bought a tube.

Make sure to wash hands after using this stuff... especially before going to the bathroom..

Re: Mesoslow6969's 1994 Touring Wagon EJ257 swap
Hello again everyone, sorry to bother with questions again, but i tried googling and using the legacy search but nothing really came up.
Basically I bought a mishimoto radiator made for the 04 sti motor, since the hose positions differ from the radiator on my car to the sti motor. So the hose connection from the radiator to the engine will be just fine, bolting the radiator to my support may need some custom bracket, but i'm not too worried about that.
The fans on the other hand is what I'm worried about. I want to buy some slim fans. Since I bought the Mishimoto radiator i wanted to get the Mishimoto fans, but I don't know which version to get since I don't know too much about wiring and fitment to the radiator. There is a GC8 version, and a GD version. Are the radiators all basically a universal wiring thing where you connect the power to the power wire and a ground wire to a ground? or is there an actual plug where i have to get the fans specifically made for my chassis? or specifically made for the radiator/engine?
If anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance to anyone that could help me out.
