Speedometer stopped

Post by furtherrad »

Well,
I was driving my '91 Legacy with 178K miles when I looked down to
check my speed, much to my dismay, it showed I wasn't moving. Any
advice would be helpful in the steps that should be looked at to
address this problem. Thanks very much,
Andrew

firstly, is a cable operated speedo...? here in Aust the N/A Liberty's run cable and the RS Turbo's run a electronic speedo.
if cable, I would check behind the instrument cluster to see whether the cable has come adrift. If so, simply push it back in....
cheers, Rod .. in oz

It's a cable operated speedo. I'll check the cable,
I'm hoping that's the problem. Thanks,
Andrew
