Well, I've noticed that neither the Law nor car thieves pay any attention to a 91 Legacy, so I'm not too worried.

I've never quite understood why it's important to keep your license plate hidden when you take pictures like these. What am I missing?

Once my brother took pictures of our old 93 Turbo and he had the flash turned on on the camera even though it was daylight. It was pretty cool -- the flash reflected strongly off the license plate so you couldn't read the plate at all, but the rest of the picture looked right.

It differs in each state... but in Ohio, it used to be you could find out everything about someone from their license plate. You could find out where they live... etc, and on down the line. And depending on your "interests" (hacking abilities) you could get social security numbers, credit card numbers, and... I think you can see where i'm going with this.

And basically, if they know where you live they can always try to come and steal your stuff. There are so many people on the internet, you never know who could be looking at that pic.

I'm not trying to argue with you here, just curious, but how is getting your license plate information from a picture any different then say, taking the numbers off a parked car? You can't really cover up them when you go to the store or something.

it's actually harder to find out information about people from their license plate then everyone says......

I did a lot of snooping when that guy hit me and I had a plate number. There's a lot of services that "say" they can get the info, but it's either BS info, or not complete info.

Unless you got madskillz and can hack the DMV.......it's really not a big deal.

Once again... it varies by state, drastically, about getting info. Pictures aren't usually JUST pictures in what we are talking about. People have elaborate descriptions of what they have under the hood, in the car, and how much money/work was dropped in the vehicle. The chances are super very ultra rare but.... if someone knows you have a Garrett T39/T94 Ceramic ball-bearing liquid cooled twin super-turbo setup in your car.... and they really want it and they are very shady.... and they have your license plate then find out where you live... they now have access to it, depending on how bad they want it. Like I said, super rare, but so is identity fraud.... do you care if you enter your credit card number on a unsecure site? That's a couple of digits among trillions of megabytes of info flowing at any time.

Personally, I don't really care, I haven't bothered to hide my license plate in pics. It's just a chance you take, but most of us have nothing anyone would want THAT bad. And I made up that turbo above, it's imaginary.

It's too bad you can't really see it in the pic, I think you would be very saddened to see what they did to that poor car... You can just barely make out the park bench spoiler.

Nice ride 91White-T, like the black rims sweet!!! :D

NOOOOO, leave the ricing to the Hondas please, not the beautiful Alfas, please no!!! Yes I can see the shopping-cart wing on it

I am careful with putting rear pics of my car on the Net, but yeah I don't really think anyone could get anything on you with your license plate number, besides Boostjunkie is right, it's on display for thousands of people in your local area anyway...

It'd be cool to see some close up pics of the wheels. How'd the paint work out?

The worst part was putting the wiring through the little tiny opening between the dash and a-pillar, but once you get that overwith it's easy and looks very clean.
