New forum/name change?

Post by entirelyturbo »

I think, since many threads in Misc are not Subaru- or even car-related, that we should have an Off-Topic forum.

Now I don't mean that we should be a NASIOC ripoff with 20 people constantly posting polls of whether we should bang our college professor or not . But that would keep the Misc forum to growing too far past the 220-thread forum it is already...

And since the Parts Shed forum frequently has cars for sale in it, should it be called "For Sale" or "MarketPlace" or something to that effect?

Just a thought, who's with me?? 8)

I dunno... I think I'm fine with the occasional off-topic post appearing in Misc. If we had a separate OT forum we'd only be encouraging it; I like how on-topic this BBS tends to be. :)

As far as renaming the Parts Shed, I don't think it's a big deal either way... it's not literal anyhow.

Just my opinion.

We had a similar discusion in the mod forum about this, and the consensus was to leave it how it is.

The amount of "off topic" stuff is pretty limited, and like vrg3 mentioned putting an off-topic forum promotes it.

yeah, aside from my occasional stupid polls that help the day go by, we tend to be a pretty low key group. ;)
