Air Suspension Checklist

Post by STi_GUY »

Hey Guys,

Ive gathered most of the parts I NEED to do the conversion from my Air Suspension. I got ahold of 4 KYB AGX's, a set of whiteline springs, and some spring seats from a dealer. What else do I absolutely need?

Bumpstops
"strut piston dust covers"
Spring noise dampeners (rubber parts that sit in the spring seat)
Covers for the holes left where the air lines went through

The covers are important for the rear, otherwise you get crap in the passenger cabin.

Dont forget to take all the crap from the drivers wheel well. Its pretty heavy.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. What kind of "covers" do I need for the holes? How do I make 'em?

Any legacy that doesnt have air suspension has them. Basically just a rubber insert.

Until I had the real ones I just used two large washers with a bolt in the middle. One washer outside the car, one washer inside. Then I smeared a small amount of caulk around the edge.
