Is it Bad to Cut Oxygen Sensor Wires?

Post by FrmRgz2Rchz »

I have an HKS downpipe and need to hook up the 02 sensor. Should I cut the wires and lengthen them, or plug the hole and weld in a new bung.

If done properly, shouldn't make a difference. Ideally you'd want the sensor as close to the stock location as possible, there is probably a reason it was there to begin with ;)

Whatever you use to splice make sure to realize that it will be near alot of heat. Dont try to use plastic crimps with electrical tape unless you insulate it well!
