I've put together a little spreadsheet with info on pulley diameters & what happens to alternator speeds & the like.
I had some weird issues after going to my HO alternator. I think they were linked to the fact the alternator uses rpm to determine when it turns on. at a low idle the alternator rpm was very close or below the turn on/off point.
Anyway, what I have decided to do was to use a GFB overdriven (smaller) alternator pulley, and go with stock sized N1 crank & PS pullies.
Currently I have an UR underdrive pulley on. I've put together a spreadsheet that has the diameters of the Stock crank pulley, stock alternator pulley, & GFB alternator pulley. I then did calcs on what the rpm would be for the alternator.
The N1 pullies should be similar if not the same as the stock sized pulley.
I'll update the sheet when I get the other pullies.
BTW, the sizes for the pullies are about as acurate as your going to find anywhere since I put tape around the diameters, measured the circumference & calculated the diameters.
here's the sheet. (please right click and save as)
