Springs or Strut Tops???

Post by eastbaysubaru »

So I just ordered KYB GR2s from Tirerack for $257 including shipping. Not too shabby. Now I'm torn between strut tops and springs. I'm not sure which I should get, so I'm asking for your opinions. I'm leaning toward springs, but I'm not sure how bad the strut tops are as they're the original ones AFAIK. What's everyone's take on this?

I voted springs just because unless the strut tops are obviously worn I would do springs first myself (although it would be nice, easier/better to replace all 3 at the same time).

Are you going to lower it any?

Do them all at the same time. I personally wouldn't put aftermarket springs without the sti mounts....but that's me.

I say GR-2 only for now. Wait until you have money saved to get the springs and tops then put them all on at once.

If you want I still have those used rear GR-2 I posted a few days ago
