Forester STi launched

Post by Dr Nick »

http://www.bsmotoring.com/2004/jan31_3.htm

Just read about this in my monthly 'big dreams' magazine, Evo http://www.evo.co.uk/

It was just a little piece at the bottom of the page but their illustration had the car in traditional Subaru blue with gold alloys and either way I think it looks FANTASTIC!!

Damn...that is awesome. I just saw a sweet Forrester XT the other night at a meet out here. It was black with tint and black rims. Needless to say it was one of the best looking cars there.

I would rather have an STi, personally.

I assume you both use the term "STI" to refer to an Impreza WRX STI.
Id rather have a forester STI with the same engine/transmission and power.

And me. Over here Subaru Impreza Turbos and Mitsubishi Evos are so sought after by the criminal fraternity that you are asking to be held up at gunpoint for your car (true - this has actually happened here in Coventry. Twist in the tale is that the would-be crims stole a Seat Leon Cupra Sport first, and when the guy with the Impreza decided he wasn't going to let them take it they couldn't catch him...). Also friends of mine in the Police reckon that having an STi parked outside is like inviting people to break into your house to steal the keys and then the car. Give me a discreet fast car any day...

Indeed. . . . given the choice between buying the WRX STi and no STi at all, I chose the former. Had there already been a Legacy STi released in the states, I'm quite certain I would have ended up with one of those, instead. I could use the extra room.
