wrx hood scoop?

Post by TurboLegacy »

how well does a wrx hood scoop fit on a 92 legacy turbo, is there modifications that need to be made, or are they the same.

If I wasn't just about to log off I'd find the link, but do a search, there is a lot covered on this. Basically it isn't a direct bolt on. You'll have to make a couple holes I believe. But the job to make it fit is pretty trivial.

If you want it to look recessed like on a wrx hood, then yes, you will have to cut the hood, so it sit nice and flush, like on a wrx. If you don't car then yes, you can just drill holes, but its gonna be sitting on the hood with a large hump all around the edge of the scoop. ideally a 93-96 wrx hoodscoop would be best for you, all you have to do is drill holes to make it look good, it was desinged to go on a hood without any special recession.

THAWA - The link you posted, the pics are dead :(

Anyone have pics of the RS bumper and hood?

I'm looking for a slightly larger scoop to influence a bit more air over the intercooler that will soon be housed underhood. And a bumper would just be cool looking and eventually (maybe) housing an FMIC...

Any pictures would be awesome.
