New Legacy Owner Here: 91 Turbo SS
Hello everyone, I've been lurking here for a while, researching the Legacy Turbo while I looked for one. Finally, the deal is done.
91 Legacy Sport Sedan, 5MT, black with grey cloth interior, 82k miles. If I read through the dirt correctly, it has the LSD.
Purchased from the orginal owner- he sold it because he bought an '04 WRX. He also has a Porsche 944 in his garage, which he also bought new, some 20 years ago. The Legacy seems to be very well maintained. It has a new clutch, but needs a little work on the front brakes.
I'd post a picture, but I don't have any hosting set up. Anyway, you know what these things look like.
I also have a MY00 Impreza wagon that I've been driving for two years. I love it so much I bought another Subaru.
I'm sure you'll be seeing more of me around here.

Welcome, it sounds like you got a good one there.
Do you plan to mod it or keep it stock?

Steve, I believe the question Matt meant to ask was when you plan to start modding it.
Welcome.
Hahaha, true, true. Thanks for setting me straight.

Excellent find! Especially with that low miles, and coming from the hands of an enthusiast. You have a real gem there!ultrasonic wrote:91 Legacy Sport Sedan, 5MT, black with grey cloth interior, 82k miles. If I read through the dirt correctly, it has the LSD.
I don't think Subaru has made a car more receptive to mods in its whole US history. While it's a great car stock, there are some real monsters on this board!
Welcome!

I ran around Saturday morning getting inspections and license taken care of. The car passed all emissions and only the windshield wipers failed the safety inspection.
The car does have a few issues to be addressed.
-ABS light is on.
-The exhaust system has rust decay.
-Some front left brake noise.
-Lame tires.
-Parking brake badly needs adjusting.
... and several other things.
So, I'll be addressing as much as I can, and things I can't deal with will be turned over to Ron at Axis Power Racing here in St. Louis.
Overall, I'm really happy with the car, and looking forward to setting it up the way I want it.
I'll get some pictures up soon.
Thanks, everyone, for your interest and support.
