More detail is needed. Is it a manual antenna or power? Is it mounted on the A-piller or the rear? A wagon or sedan?

For the cable you might be better off trying to reterminate the old one.

its manual and its on the A pillar.

its a 90 sedan

its gonna need a whole new wire. its actually my GFs car, and was her brother before her. he really messed alot of stuff up and we're fixing it all back up now. but its definatley not repairable.

Go to a auto stereo store like AutoSound or something and buy a new one for like $15 to $30. They come with a new wire already attatched. Here is a tip for routing the new wire down the a pillar. Pull out the old antenna but leave enough of the wire down in the kick panel. Cut the wire up at the top where it comes through the hole and tape it very well to the new wire from the new antenna.. just pull the old wire down from the kick panel and whalla it will snake the new wire down the a pillar for you. Then just pass it along the under dash to the radio opening and your done. I used to do this type of antenna in like 15 minutes.
