has anyone changed synchros before?

I grinded goning into second, then i lost first, then i regain first but keep poping out of second. I was told that it is my synchros. i was woundering are they costly? I have parts off a non turbo 5 speed are the synchros the same?

The parts are cheap but the labour is what will really cost. I was going to do my synchro's a while back and i got quoted around the $1100 mark. Note that $1100 is in AU dollars

i have craked smashed grinded 5 trannys up and still counting, the parts are not to bad in price, a non turbo tranny will not work you must get the right parts legacy turbos are very diffrent, your best bet is to get one from a wrecking yard.
