WILL IT FIT? Stock WRX Header-> '91 Legacy Turbo

Post by BoostAddict »

Hi,

I'd like to know if a stock '02 WRX Header would fit on my '91 Legacy Turbo. Would such a header give me any performance increase over the stock Turbo header, which I have now? I'm also planning on changing he exhaust to a 3" and I'd like to know if it'd be worth to change the header to a WRX one...

Thanks in advance,
P.

I'm assuming you mean the uppipe and crosspipe? I dont know if they will fit up to the turbo or not but I wouldn't suggest using it over the stock one. WRX uppipe has a cat in it whereas yours doesnt.

So would the WRX header flow worse than the stock Legacy turbo header?

Which header will have a larger diameter?

I was under the assumption that they are the same header *shrug*

So the driver side won't flow more. The passenger side probably also flows exactly the same, too; it just has a bung for an oxygen sensor.

Thanks a lot for the answers!

In that case, I won't get the WRX header. I'll just leave my stock one and focus on the exhaust.

Does anyone know of any used bellmouth or divorced 2.5" - 3" downpipes for sale (on the board?).

The $150 for the DP on eBay is 'kinda pricey for me...
(considering that my WHOLE car didn't cost me much more than that  )

If you want to play, you have to pay. Exhaust parts, quality ones at least, are expensive.

I would save up for the full C.E.S kit. Almost 1/3 of the total cost of my car, but I'm still doing it :)
