Ok, so they are '91 EJ20 heads. The stupid lash adjusters need to come out, so I can oil soak them, and verify all are working. Problem is, I can't get the buggers out! I've tried pulling with pliers even(as per the SM), but they won't budge!
Anyone do this before and be successful at this? What do I need to do, to get these to come out?

technically, they are supposed to come right out.....but mine were stuck also.
I used a very small flathead screwdriver to kind of pry them out.... I was very careful not to nick anything... they should come out that way...just be careful
