Well, I paid 3k less than that for my 94 5MT in MINT condition (very slight rust). I've also got 10k less miles.

I use the Sedan as a size control. If the girl will only fit in the back of a wagon, but not the back of my Sedan, then we've got a problem.

That's too much. I paid $5900 for my 92 SS 5mt in '96-'97 and it had 104k miles.

a lot of people dont need that much space :\ So I'd rather have the extra mileage a sedan gives

I like them both. I'd like to pick up a N/A wagon for haulin' stuff but I like my turbo sedan for performance and driving hard. What I really want is an old GL-10 wagon, Loyal wagon or something, that I can just abuse, haul stuff and have fun in.

the extra couple miles per gallon? I'd rather get worse mileage and have something worth using. I like being able to go camping with 3 other people in one car, and stick all of our stuff in the back, but that's just me.

Gas mileage difference is negligible unless maybe over 100. The difference between AWD and fwd is much greater. Its so much easier to access the wagon, too - no need to lift over a lip to get an engine in. I moved everything I own in my wagon - never rented a moving truck.

Out handle your sedan. Much less understeer. Unless of course you're afraid of the back end moving... Camry drivers are like that, too. Its OK, you're not alone.

stock yes, but you can always make one car outhandle another with enough work. That goes both ways though. So you're saying a sedan has more understeer, which is generally what automakers associate with safer driving on the street.
Good show. That lip deal is a moot point, you're picking something up so high already a few more inches isnt going to change much. You can fit an engine in a sedans trunk, so that's mot as well. And laurel like I said, not everyone needs that extra space. I haven't yet said, damn I wish I had more height so I could carry more stuff, cause that's all it is. The wagon is just taller space. My seats fold down so I can carry long shit aswell. But w/e :\

understeer is safer for woosies who can't drive. The rest of us practice car control. There's always a compromise between freedom and safety or freedom and slavery as I like to think of it. Understeer is safer and therefore preferable to you, then you must lean towards...
And of course Franklin said, "Anyone who would give up a freedom for security, however small, deserves neither." Of course, none of us would deserve freedom since we take advantage of society and the infrastructure, but I digress.
Try putting the engine in with a forklift on a pallet. Much better than heaving it up.
And of course its more comfortable to get it on in, then there's money saved when driving long distance...
