I've been reading some stuff over at Nasioc about spherical bushings vs. polyurethane bushings and just wanted to get eveyone's take on the subject. I'd like to know what everyone is using for endlinks and how they like them. Also, what is eveyone's take on the pros/cons of each?

I'd say all things considered, the original whiteline style is the way to go as far as cost/performance/NVH

from what i've been hearing the endlinks which use needle bearings rather than bushings are quite good, should increase turn-in more so since there is no play when compared to a bushing

I've been doing a lot of reading too, and there's a lot of conflicting info out there. I just wanted to hear some real world opinions from any of you that actually have the various types of endlinks.

Are needle bearings the same as spherical bearings?

I don't believe so, needle bearings only allow for axial movement in a shaft, similar to a crank bearing or wheel bearing except instead of balls as bearings long thin cylinders are used which resemble needles; hence the name

A spherical bearing allows for movement in multiple axis, like the type you'd find in your tie rod ends, rotor and cuff; i guess you could say it is like your shoulder

The needle bearing endlinks I mentioned have no play in them and won't allow the sway bar to move without moving themselves, that is why they create a quicker response

Can you point me to an example of endlinks with needle bearings?

dammit, i know i've seen them before but can't seem to find them now... it may have been a custom job someone had done for a while so they may not be making them anymore?
