Turbo foglights Question
Anybody have a part number or part numbers for the 92-94 Turbo teardrop foglights? I KNOW this was an option since I've already seen 2 turbo sedans with em. I asked about it in parts and they tell me only N/A's had foglights as an option? I'm like wtf... I've never even seen an N/A with oem foglights. And that foglights weren't an option for turbos.
Help,
Mark

Fog lights were only a dealer installed option on first gen legacies early in '90 in north america. The people you saw with fogs had aftermarket.

Not the best quality lights, Pilot. But after a bit of cutting, they fit perfectally. I think they were about $40

It most certainly was designed for a light pattern. The lamp's peices work together to make sure the turn signal is visible from a variety of solid angles at appropriate intensities. Why they then decided to stick it on the front of the car, though, is beyond me.
It was a rhetorical question. I guess what I should have asked was why you don't care that you've ruined your turn signals' light pattern.
A turn signal isn't just a flashing light.

No way. The only "beam pattern" on this car that is worse, are the headlights. For which I am compensating for with a set of fog lights.vrg3 wrote:It most certainly was designed for a light pattern. Im much more concerned about the fact that you cant see them flash from the side. I'm also more concerned about being able to see whats in front of me at night.
Im concerned about a billion other things. The light pattern of my crappy turn signals is not one of them.

I agree, your lucky if they see the blinkers at all. I frequently have to turn (with the right of way) onto a hill and people coming down the hill waiting to pull out almost seem to try to hit me thinking I'm going straight. I'm positive they can't see the blinkers as it happens all the time. I've also had a cop yell at me for not having a front plate which of course is mounted on the OEM spot at the same height as the blinkers.
"Yeah? And where's your front plate?! Give to someone else?"
"Uh, it's on the FRONT. Unless someone just stole it."
"Oh. Oh, yeah. Well, why do you have it so damn low?"
"Complain to the DOT. They're the one's that approved Subarus mounting location for it."
Of course I got a ticket.

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.
I just noticed that your blinker bulb is on the bottom, was it there stock? Mine are on the top cut out thingy.rallitektech wrote: Not the best quality lights, Pilot. But after a bit of cutting, they fit perfectally. I think they were about $40

I was thinking of wiring my turn signals to where they should be (corner markers) and 'glassing a set of covers for that spot (so I can cut them out later for aftermarket fogs).
