My 95 Legacy turbo has trouble running smooth whan cold and to a certain degree when warm. It basically doesn't seem to idle very well and it even cut out on me today aswell, it seams to drop below 500 revs and then pick up and again to idle. It goes fine and pulls very well however it does pop quite a bit even with flames sometimes between gear changes. The only modifications as far as i know is a decat centre pipe and back box.
Any ideas what could be causing this, the fuel consumption is normal so presume its not overfuelling?
check all of your hoses, including intake piping, if there is no cracks or hoses blown off, check your plugs and coils.

I ran it this morning and it was ok then, then i rean her again later on in the afternoon and it wouldn't start! I turned it over until eventually it fired up, then it seamed to behave?
Your coolant temperature sensor could be bad. Mine occasionally gave me starting problems and threw the code for the temp sensor. I replaced it with a spare and it also cleared up a high idle and I'm getting better gas mileage too.
