I just finished putting an engine into my 91T. Did quite a bit of custom work to the set up while it was out of the car. Anyways just finished hooking everything back together today and to my dissapointment no spark.
Here is what's going on....
When I crank the engine the tachometer doesn't bounce at all?
I get no spark to my plugs?
Cam angle sensor does bounce when being checked
Crank angle seems to work to
My injectors seem to have 12v accross them at all times, even when the key is out of the ignition??
Umm, not sure what else - I did test my coil pack and it works in my brothers car fine. I guess I am running out of ideas.
One other question though - what happens if my crank is 1 rev off. I mean what if I set up my timing with the crank 1 rev off from the camshafts? Just curious.
Any help would be great as I am running out of ideas...

you should only have ignition at your injectors. there are 2 wires, one is 12v when the key is in the on possition and the other is the negative "pulse" wire. all the ignition wires (4) should be the same color and the pulse wires are different colors. Its imposible to line things up wrong when do the timing belt. if the pullys line up anyway.

Not sure what is going on then???
If both crank and cam sensors are working what else could be breaking the chain and keeping the coil from firing and the tach from working?

You didn't modify any of the car's wiring, right?
The injectors are powered through the ignition relay. The coil of the ignition relay is controlled by the ignition switch and by the ECU. Normally the ECU uses its self-shutoff control to keep itself powered for a few seconds after you shut the ignition switch off. It should shut back off after that though.
So... is your ignition relay staying powered when it shouldn't be? If it is, maybe that's running the battery down, which could prevent spark... although that ought to also prevent the starter from working. Hm, so scratch that.
Other elements of the spark chain include the ECU and the ignitor.
You might want to try swapping your ignitor with your brother's.
I'm slightly worried that your ECU may be malfunctioning though. If it's failing to spark and properly self-shutoff, maybe it got zapped with some static electricity or something. Subaru ECUs seem to be better protected from ESD than a lot of other cars' ECUs, but it could certainly still happen.
Does your Check Engine light come on when you turn the ignition on? Can you try to read trouble codes? If you have a laptop, can you run my scantool?
