Some guy in toronto is selling a t3/t4 I guess he's not sure cause those are 2 different turbos correct??
$250 he's asking.. this a good upgrade on stock and does it require a intercooler??

It's probably a hybrid... the compressor from a T3 and the turbine from a T4. Or vice versa.

Vikash is right, it's a hybrid and they're pretty common.

It's a nice turbo and that's a good price (if it's in good shape) but 1. the DP and upipe flanges aren't going to be the same so it definitely won't bolt up at all 2. IIRC you'll need an external wastegate and 3. you'll definitely need an intercooler.
They're nice snails but require quite a bit of custom fab work.

I don't know that an external wastegate is required, but it would definately make the install a lot easier.
It wouldn't pass emissions to save your life though.

That is a Hybrid turbo. Too big for a Legacy to run on the street IMO. It is internally wastegated as it uses a T3 exhaust and center with a T4 compressor. It would take a lot of work to fit, Up-pipe flange , Down-pipe, intake plumbing... You would want an intercooler, stand alone ECU... An engine that could stand 35psi

It's a big turbo
