Will the WRX still take the win???

Post by WRXdan »

With equal drivers, standing start to 1/4 miles. Which on of my cars will throw down the other.

2002 WRX MT
catless uppipe, race cat downpipe
turboxs rear section
stock boost
perrin pulley
K&N
sticky tires
Sti SS

1992 Turbo Legacy
4.44 4EAT
sticky tires
catless dp, custom catback (modded WRX aftermarket)
SAAB IC
stock turbo with pumped up boost ( final level to be determined)
ECU safe guards gone i.e. FCD

I think the WRX will still pull, the car loves 3rd gear for some reason.

02 WRX - lightly modded (Gone but not forgotten)

The WRX is probably also lighter.

The WRX will smack down the turbo leg unless something is done about the RHB5 turbo or fuel map management since they are both modded. But there is also no info on exhaust sizes, stock/aftermarket dp, etc...

I'm pretty sure the wrx will pull. I think to really take advantage of a 4.44 gear ratio you either need more power or a manual drivetrain with a lightweight flywheel.

The launch is gonna kill.

(edit) wow, i brought this back from the dead. Stupid search feature.

If it was a stock WRX, then the legacy. But since it is modded, I will have to say the WRX
Reddevil, Awaiting new heart, will it ever happen?
1990 wagon, EJ25 12.3 @ 116.5 FAST Family wagon getting new motor soon
1992 wagon, wifes daily, high compression
