Yea, that might cause poor fuel economy.

The stock size is a Group 35.

I just bought a Group 34 (slightly larger) Optima Yellow Top for my relocation. It was the only one they had in stock. I highly recomend getting an Optima battery. Everyone I know that has one, loves it.

I got my Optima at Sears, but it was 3x as much as a Diehard battery. I paid $182 out the door. I got the shaft, but I needed the battery ASAP!

Where are those lightweight batteries that I've heard of? I have few accessories and this car starts rediculously easily (the original battery lasted 12 yrs) so I'm not worried about cranking power.

Lightweight batteries are horribly unreliable. I want a full-size for no other reason than I like to have the car turned off, but listen to the radio. The ability to have 2 hours of reserve time (@20 amp draw) is a good thing.

Lightweight batteries have very few Cold Cranking Amps, and that's the most important aspect of a battery.

I was going to get a Dynobatt, lightweight, but it has 1/2 or less of the specs of the Optima.
