 well while driving the 91 turbo tonite, i left the stop lite by wasting some fool in a riced out legacy L , anywho while i was pulling away pretty friggin hard, i noticed a pretty big smoke screen behind me, this is the first time, at the next light i took off at "half boost" i call it half boost, (you know when your at about 1/4 throttle and the bov is half open spilling all that lovely pressure back into the intake tube) well it didnt smoke at all, only when i give it enough throttle to snap the bov shut and create boost, then she puffs away, logic tells be the oil seals in the turbo are shot, thus forcing oil into the intake, correct? or :x is it internal engine components :x help! thanx

riced legacys are no fun, but curiously, what mods have you done to pull away from a legacy like that? I know I keep up fairly well with stock turbos.

anyway, what color was the smoke? blue = oil, black = fuel, white = coolant

Yea, the N/A's will keep up with Stock Turbo's until about 3rd gear, that's when the turbo's will pull away. The N/A BC is faster than most newer cars. That's probably embarassing for the newer cars.

i couldnt see the color of the smoke, it was dark outside, the cars running 11 psi, thats the only mod, the auto tranny really helps it get off the line quick,

Are you intercooled or anything? (depending on elevation) If you are running 11psi, un intercooled on the stock exhaust, and the cloud is white, and you run the car hard... well...

I'll give you 3 guesses on that, but you should only need 1.

Check your coolant level.

Does the car smell like crap when you shut it down?

Try to see what color smoke it is during the day.
