16G install

Post by dzx »

The pictures suffer from the quality of the cam once again but here they are: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/641778/3. I installed the MSD ignition also but no pics yet.

Nice! That turbo to TB hose looks very creative! :) What boost are you running? Doesn't you engine feel much stronger when off boost now too? :)

Yeh, the engine does feel stronger when off boost. The turbo to TB hose was a mixture of 2 in copper plumbing fittings and intercooler hose off of an old volvo. Right now i'm running stock boost since i dont have my intercooler in yet, gonna fix the transmission first so looks like im gonna be driving the old bmw for a couple days once i take the transmission out. Gonna miss the Legacy:(

The 16G just makes the car SO much better on the street. I can finally use cruise control and it'll stay off-boost at 90mph. It's definately one of the top 5 mods that I've done so far. My car feels so solid now with the 16G. It's just a beast now.

I wish our cars breathed a bit better so it would smoothly roll into boost a bit better. It seems as soon as you go on boost, it's an ass kick. You'll pull, then BOOM. With the stock turbo it seemed to just just keep getting faster, instead of EXPLODING. That was nice, but the 16G still drives better.

Turbo lag makes you cool

yeh, my car does that, slow slow slow boom. My car is getting an intake when they do the intercooler piping to help make room. I wish i had cruise control, bastard that was supposed to hook it up moved to california without finishing the job on the transmission.
