Wrx seats in 93 SS?

Post by legacymax »

Has anyone done this? I bought a pair of 03 wrx seats but i was wondering if they are direct bolt in. Trying to see if anyone has any advice before i start messing with them.

I searched "wrx seats" and looked through 4 pages and nothing. I'll search again.

Be sure to select the option that searches for all query words, not just any.

If they came with the mounting bracets then just take out a stock seat and try it.

They've worked in many cars for many years.

There is one bolt location from the legacy seats that will not be used when the WRX seats are installed. Nothing to be alarmed about. ;)

yes, they are a direct bolt in. I had some time on Saturday and took out my old seats and put the WRX seats in. Great improvement in feel. :D I did a little bit of rallying on sunday night and they held me in really well. They look very nice with the black and grey interior too. I wouldn't suggest it for someone who is about 6 4 though. I am 6 1 and i am pretty close to the ceiling and the seat is as far as it will go down. I paid $200 for the pair and it was well worth it.

Yeah, I know Laurelthequeen has WRX seats in her '92 Turbo Wagon.

As Yukonart said, there's one place that you can't bolt up (unless you get clever with washers or some other spacers, I havent looked that closely). There's a bolt on all 4 corners though, so you should be good to go.
