Torque 2 chip????

i recall someone talking about a Torque 2 chip. what exactly is this?

it's an aftermarket chip that you wire into the ECU, and it alters some signals to supposedly gain you some more power. The exact workings of the chip are propriatary, however I have been able to decipher some of the stuff it does, but still don't have a full grasp on all it does.

I've had it in and out of my car, and for my particular car with AT, I can't say I have been real happy with it. I had it in recently and the car was just running unbelievably rich. Plugs were sooted up on the porcelin.

I sorta think I have some other issues, but until I have time to work on things I won't know, and depending on what I find, if it's obvious that I did have a problem, I may try it again, otherwise I will probably just sell it, and chalk it up to the fact that it may not like the AT transmission, or the early OBD1 ECU's.

I know other people that run it, along with the proECM, and like the results.
