Hi i got a Leagsy 2,2l 1991 autotrans with fwd and computer controlled awd

Any one can tell me the color of wire that connects to duty dolonoide c (locks in awd)
my legasy is not going in awd just fwd and i was hoping to test if solonoide is ok or maybe try to manually put it awd.
i got no codes from tc (done all the testing)
chanced fluid and filter
is there any way a autotransmission oil impruvements stuf is clocking up my awd clutch)

or some presure leaks in transmission
some times when starting car in park it sems like engine is having a hard time but if i put it in neutral and back in park its running smoth
like some valve or somthing in transmissin is stuck or cloked
.

You can test the duty c solenoid at the TCU to see if the TCU is putting the correct voltage out, and also test it with the car off and check for continuity.

here's the tcu I/O page

These scans tell how to test the solenoid

Don't do it. I tried this in my old SS and it was not good. Especially if the trans. is not doing well already

I'm confused.. you've got a separate doodle to engage your AWD? What are the specifics of your computer controlled AWD?

He's talking about the signal wire which connects the TCU to duty sol. C. If the TCU doesn't see a signal(ie. the wire is cut, or sol. c is not working)it automatically goes to 50/50 split. This is VERY bad for low speed turns as everything will bind and make horrible noises.

Hi Sigkrist,

Same problem in Denmark. Will get back to you when i have a solution. Took my tranny apart this weekend , soli C changed- but still locking up on turns. I`ll chek the wireing next week. I have some good pictures of the inside of the transfercace, and i am sure that`s where the problem is.:(
