"Gargling" Fuel Pump?
When I start my car whether its cold or hot, there is this "gargling" or "bubbling" sound from the fuel pump or somewhere down near the gas tank. It will continue to make this sound until I rev. the engine. The fuel delivery is fine, no rough idle of hesitating. The car has 115,000 miles on it and the pump is the original. Is this normal or is it a sign of a failing pump or something else

I need to burp my cooling system then, I get that too when I start the car and move it. It sounds like water sloshing around.

Re: me tooo
It's just the air in your system, not the water so much. There should be a air vent screw or something on your radiator.hack0r wrote:ok like i have the same prob.. does any one no how to get the the heater.. where the water is keep coz its pissing me off...

Instead of the burp screw, there's a hose fitting, and the hose connects to the filler bottle, which has a check valve that only allows flow into the bottle. So, it should burp on its own as the rest of the system is burped.

I will get a slight gurgle from my FP but I can only hear it if I have the rear seats down and the cover plate removed. It also only does it if the car has sat for a while. When my car broke down a while back I was listening for the pump to prime and heard it. I drove for about 3 weeks with the seats down and the plate removed. It consistantly did it when the pump primed after the car sat.
