That's sweet.
What kind of rear diff guard is that and where did you get it?

Blue is the old early blue??
Exhaust is Borla type header with a Cat off an Alfa into 2 1/4" flowmaster single box system. Loud it is,but sounds good.
Header seems to give a little more power,I needed one as I ripped the other one off and it was cheaper to buy this header off ebay.

Diff guard you can get from Paul Ekland at Primitive Enterprises
check the link section in this site.
That's where I got the skid plate but I bent it a little when it ripped off and took out the header.

Cheers

i was joking, because the only thing that isnt blue is the glass, lights, interior and wheels :)

so you custom built the exhaust, cool

I wasn't sure if you were joking as some die hard guys get picky if it's not the right colour.
It was funny when I painted it,I did two Legacy's in the same day the same colour so everything ended up blue, even my shoes and the factory I painted it in!!!
I do laugh every time I visit that factory as there is a large blue area of over spray on the factory floor(He He).

very nice!

the rear diff protector is an option that you can get from the dealership, at least in canada it is.

looks like we both need roof scoops to keep the dust out of the car

Dealer optional rear diff protector is flimsy at best.

nice welds, but i don't think i've EVER seen a strut bend there.

Image
something that works a tad better for securing the spare is to use a seatbelt-type clip to attach the two sides. you spend ~1 minute total (in an out) with what you have on a good day, versus 10 seconds with a seatbelt clip.

Struts always bend where I have the wedge.I've rallied since 1989 and that's where they go.even Bilstein used to wedge the MK2 Rally Escort struts the same.
I have bent both front and rear on the Legacy at this point.I do a photo soon.
Nice tip for spare wheel ,I'll check that out thanks

I forget, you're from california. You have those fabulous waterbars and quite a few more yumps then we have up north. No worries.

You should come up for DooWops in March, I guarantee you'll enjoy it.

Yes Jason

I think that's the problem. The car was built up in Bend OR and they have great smooth roads,we on the other hand do not!
Rallying in CA is very much like the Middle East events,I used wedge, weld and strengthen everything and not much broke???
You got me thinking about the wheel holder straps,I thought about stitching some seat belts together and make cover to hold everything down.

Cheers
