Seems like it could be a good project car. I would never buy a car off eBay unless I could inspect/drive if first. I'm not a big fan of the color either.
I took a chance when i bought my SS. I got it off ebay for $3000. It had just over 100000 miles and was all the way across the country from me.
The dealer I dealt with had to have been born in hell. But the car was worth it. The original owner did EVERYTHING at the Subaru dealership. Hell, how many people do that anymore?? How do I know that? Well, it had a new Subaru battery, and other parts. NO ONE BUYS A BATTERY AT A DEALER! Short of a little dog hair ( i steam cleaned the insides) I got a great car.
Yes I have too many Subarus
No you can't have one
05 GD-STI
01- RS- Swapped-07 STI
00- GF
93 SS- "the original Robtune" (now in new hands)
Id love to take a chance on one, but I cant buy a non running/driveable car 1500 miles from me And unfortunately, turbo leg's apparently were not very popular in texas.
I took the chance with my 94 ss. It paid off for me tho, low mileage (73k), great body, and a beautifuly clean engine.
It was nerve wrecking tho, not knowing how the car drove or if it was worth it (mechanically that is) and also having to drive 4 hours with more cash in my pocket than I have ever seen.
