performance very poor

hi all,
my 91 legacy turbo isd performing very badly the acceleration is very poor its ok in first or second after that its rubbish.it gets to 80mph and thats it the gauge shows .5 bar boost but the car just won't pick up anymore.please help.
there is no cel light coming on and everything else seems fine.

.5bar? That's like 7-8psi, if I'm not mistaken. I was under the assumption the overseas legacy turbos ran more boost than that.... closer to 10psi.

If that's the case, check to make sure there are no boost leaks.

hi checked and yes boost should be .9 bar.so thinking i do have a leak especially as the turbo sounds louder than it should,any advice on the best way to find where it could be leaking from.

Just back track from the air box to the turbo, checking every vaccum line that runs to and from the engine. Make sure all of the connections are good and that there are no cracks in the hoses.
