The penalty was an automatic six month suspension and a fine. The thing is that when I was pulled over for doing 62 in a 45 I was on my way to get my picture taken at the DLC. I even had my camera card on me which is good for a license until you get the actual photo taken. In court the judge just plainly said that the charge was dismissed and I plead guilty to the speeding ticket which was all of 56 bucks. The only problem with this big relief is that on New Years I got nabbed for something else for which I'm not too proud...

Whew, I got off of my second driving without a license charge in four years.

What'd you get pulled for on New Years? Since you aren't in prison right now, I'm pretty sure the hype is just in your head.
Congrats on beating the man, lol.

Ugghh, that's it alright. I don't know yet what the damage will be. I don't even know if I was over the limit. I was tipsy but not drunk. The arresting officer called me the other day and that seems odd since they usually just send the results in the mail. Hopefully, he called to tell me I was under the limit. It really sucks. My luck has been poo for about six months now. When will this damn black cloud evaporate?!
It was quite an episode. Cuffed and stuffed and taken to the hospital where the nurse bruised the hell out my arm trying to pull blood. She looked surprised it didn't spray out of my arm like it would if I was tanked or a drunk. I had to call a friend to pick me up, didn't want family knowing.

Aww man, that sucks!
Ummm... Insert obligatory anti-drunk-driving chat here.
Hopefully you'll walk away with a slap on the wrist and knowledge of what not to do next time.
The limt being the BAC (;)) limit? What were you initially pulled over for?
Did you actually get a citation? What was it for? If you were under the limit, you SHOULD be dropped of charges, eh?

Yeah, it sucks. I'm against drunk driving too, that's the hard part to swallow. I never got a citation for anything. I took a left turn where you can't and the cop was right behind me. At least I made it easy for him. It was right by Matt's house where you get off the highway. Dumbass that I am, I turned then realized oops you can't turn there. Too late, the bubble gum was rolling in my rearview.

Way to beat the charges, dude.
Sucks on the DWI/DUI, though.. my godmother's the top atty in the state for that shit.. she defends like no other --for mucho $crilla!
It won't quite ruin your life, though. Worst case scenario, is you get ins points, and have to see a DUI Victim's Panel, which is similar to us telling sob stories, and bitching at you.. in my state, the panel consists of family members who have no desire to properly deal with their loss, and thereby set themselves back emotionally, for the benefit of the state.
Yes, there should be a panel like this for the once-in-a-lifetime offenders, (ala Scared Straight) but most people I know who drink and drive do it often, and well, and it's a stroke of fate that they get caught. No victims panel/assessment will change their habits. It's too bad, really.

It's strange because in PA the blood test results are supposed to be sent to you in the mail. As of this date, I still haven't recieved anything at all but the arresting officer has been phoning me which I've been told is legally questionable. I guess they're not allowed to personally call you on the phone. I'm hoping that he's calling to tell me I'm ok. I'll wait and see.

I bet that's what it is. You should have gotten the results by now I'd think.

The only real reason I can think of for him calling you is to inform you that your BAC was under the limit and that no charges are being filed. That'd be sweet. I have my fingers crossed for you.
Did he leave you a number to call him back?

If you move here, we'll scout you some great places to live outside of Kent, Auburn, Fife, Pacific, Algona, or Milton. Those are all my local area DUI/DWI hotspots.. They'll trail you at 2am just to see if you'll make a wrong move --enough to pull you over and make you blow.
My town, Edgewood, though, is pretty tight. There's maybe one cop on duty all night, and he sits in one spot until he's called.

..and somewhere else on there, it has a link for south sound apartments, too...
..or, if you're well-endowed ($$-wise), come see me about a home loan! (Well, at least try to get pre-approved!)
I can also work out a 0-down deal, too.

Yeah, that sounds like an awful lot.
No, Scott, I wasn't tryna talk you into a deal. I first hooked you up with one of the better local job sources, then told you about apartments.
However, knowing that you've probably got some decent credit history, and the ability to work a good job, I thought, "Hey, get him pre-qual'd, and we could find him a permanant residence." Renting is okay if you think you're gonna be gone, or you don't have the proper means to support a whole house. But serious, it's a great place to live. There's even a few t-legs around here in FedWay, which is a great place to live! There's TONS of apartments in this area, and they're all pretty nice. Downside is ~$1200 and up.

$1200! Is that 1 bedroom? That's more than an average place in Boston or NYC.
