ok i searched and did find anything like what i was experience so if there is a thread someone post it here... here goes.... i
my remote start is not sensing that the engine is started and tries to crank the engine while it is already running.... did that this afternoon, but this morning it behaved normally... strange i thought.... then i realized through some more playing that if i start it with the remote and then put the key in when it's running already it still tries to crank the engine over even though the key is in. so i pulled all the fuses for my remote start for now, it's running tachless mode right now and that had never been a problem.... but i also noticed that when i the car starts the warning lights on the cluster won't go out until i snap the throttle real good... then they just dim out.... in all the threads i searchedit was a charging system problem when the idiot lights wouldn't turn off... but mine they do....
is there any suggestions out there could it still be a charging problem, the alternator was just tested recently and was fine, i have a 3 month old optima red top in the car so that should be fine... i hope anyways...
i've also been having starter problems.... is it possible that the ecu and not seing that the car is actually started? could it be the in the column key machanism (sorry having a brain fart), or in the wireing somehwere? any help would be great.
this car is starting to get to me lately! (i think i'll just call it la bamba and threaten to turn it into a go-kart)...

well i figured it out tonight.... it was the alternator.... the unit it self works fine it was just the "B" terminal as the haynes manual named it the screw that fastens it to the actual alternator (not the one that the car harnes attaches to but the internal conection) was snapped.... don't ask me how this happened but it did... haven't checked out the remote start thing yet.... tooo lazy and to pissed off at myself
a lesson for all; ALWAYS double check that the belt is properly seated on the pullies!
i feel liek the biggest moron ever, i should know better than that i was just in a hurry to get to the g-friends place! oh and ALWAYS keep a old parts around if you can... i pillages the terminal from my last alternator!
