boost pressure drops

Hey all when i get going my boost goes to 1 bar then it drops to about .7 am i loosing boost? or is my guage wack. i think its losing boost but when im in 5th gear and just stay constent it doesnt drop. so its kinda weird any help will be great. thanks

Boost taper. The higher you get on the RPMs on your stock turbo, the more it will drop. Most turbo cars have this issue. To correct it, either get a bigger turbo, a EBC (not really going to help), get a 3in exhaust. That will help a little bit. Just get used to it for now though.

but its never done it before. kinda weird tho. the exhaust is 2.5 in.

so whats a good range to keep my boost at?
