As most of you know my legacy no longer runs. I would like to know why even though I am parting her out.

What to check first????

Drop the pan or yank the heads???

Heads would be quicker and the engine could stay put. Depends on what you suspect - heads will tell you top end and pistons; oil pan the bottom end.

Can I pull the pan with the engine in the car?

Will removing the VC's show any signs?
