I have a 91 turbo legacy 5mt i am building as a PGT rally car (just rallycross for now), and i was wondering what i could modify and still kept it in this class. I can't change the engine management and the engine or turbocharger (besides boost) right? Can i intercool it? What can i do to the transmission? I was also thinking about taking out the sunroof and putting a plexiglass insert in place of it. Any input would be great! thanks.

Hmmmm, well the rules I know are from the Canadian Rally Rule book (CARS) but it pretty much the same.
Engine management is allowed as long it's not a piggy back.
Stand alone only (byt in OEM ECU box only).
Tranny; LSD is now permited even if not original from the dealer.
Intercooling not allowed if car not originaly not equiped.
Boost if free...but to your own risk. No valve can be added.
A simple way to know if it PGT legal; Is it ORIGINAL (STOCK).
-Suspension is free
-Brake pads free
-Seats and belts
-Exhaust free but no headders.
-Turbo (PGT)32mm restrictor, (OPEN) 34mm (maybe 40mm in US)
-Skidplate
-Roof vent legal...Not Roof Scoop. (Canada)
A glass sunroof needs to be replaced by a metal sheet.
A metal sunroof needs to be permanently closed.
So Lexan is out of the question.
Rule books are available on line.
So check your local Sport car Club for rules.
