No.

Just kidding. It depends on where you buy your EJ22T and what condition it's in, just like any other motor. Good luck finding one, as they're mostly junked or in a car. :D
Sounds like you're from across the pond, as well, which makes my guess just as good as yours.. ..I wouldn't know where to find car parts, internationally.
Cost would be anywhere from $300USD to $1200USD, as I said, pending condition.

On another note, I would advise against putting a turbo motor in a 2wd vehicle.

Will you be sticking around here? Sounds like you were interested in an answer to your question, but we hope you'll stay and become part of our community. :D

Build your own.

Crawford sells their built 2.8 motor for something stupid like $9000. You could build a comprable motor for less... but you would have to do the work.

That said, You could have Kelley from PerfectionMotorsports build you a killer lump. One day, over the rainbow, he will be building the bottom end for the fastest Legacy this side of the Mississippi.

I believe you can buy new ej22t shortblocks from a dealer. If someone will snag you a part # you could order it yourself locally. Wouldn't have heads, but you've got better head choices where you are already.

Try www.car-parts.com for a junker engine. It's a us junkyard search engine. I'm not sure what kind of finagling youll have to do re shipping, but its a start.

Negatory on the EJ22T shortblock from the dealer. Super rare to find now. They only make X amount per year, and lots are bought by Crawford, Axis, etc for their built bottom end kits.

I'll have to second www.car-part.com. That's where I found mine for $250.
