Clunking noise from front nearside wheel/drive train

Post by welly »

I have a 2001 Legacy estate 2.5lt manual. Recently it has developed a clunking sound when I cross bumps at slow speed especially if both front wheels dont meet bump at same time. Have had it in the gartage and they cant find the source -- checked anti roll bushes, suspension mounts engine mounts etc. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

no sense in "checking" the anti-roll bushes, just replace them, they are cheap. you can't tell when they are worn, they just get soft and you get the clunk
That beer you are drinking cost more than my car
