Braking video

Post by skid542 »

There's been a lot of discussion recently about braking and since I've got the opposite upgrades than most I thought a couple videos would help for the comparisons. My rotors were still pretty cool along with my pads and tires when I did these. If you look closely in the first one you can see the smoke coming from the rear passenger tire first everytime. I'd also like to mention that I don't know when the previous owners redid the struts but I haven't in the 25k mi. I've had it.

60-5 1.5mb
This one I didn't do as good a job at keeping them unlocked and I let up a little so that I'd get by the camera good.

53-5 1.2mb
I say 53, because it was between 50-55.

Needless to say, I like my brakes :).

Did you upload those via USB instead of Firewire or something? Seems very choppy, like you're only getting 15 fps instead of the full 30 fps.

Nice stopping power though. :)

Maybe, it was my friend's camera and it took him long enough to just get it to the proper video mode but I'm not sure how he uploaded it. It was just a little handheld digital camera though.

Thanks, best thing since my tires I've ever done to my car.
