Is my tranny dead! Question on changing it for a 5 speed box

Post by superlowsub »

hey guys after some help.....

I have a 1991 turbo legacy, and its an auto. this morning the tans had a fit!! The car was running just fine and then it just stopped changing gears properly. the only gears that do not work are 3rd and drive. Is the tranny dead or is it an easy fix?
If its going to need a full rebuild I am thinking of changing it for a 5 speed.
any advice would be great

thanks
