War of the Worlds
Saw it. It was okay. Awesome action, kinda cheesy, bad continuity.
There was a winestone bf in it towards the beginning twice

Haha you beat me to it-I was about to make a thread on this. Anyways it was a waste of $7. So anti-climatic and Tom Cruises kids would not stop screaming.

Anticlimatic as in a boring letdown or no third act like that overrated Shymalan's 2-act shit movies? Is it true to the book?

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

Pirates were some of the earliest freedom fighters and some of their principles more than likely inspired our founding fathers. Some were villains, but the majority were idealists with nowhere to go. The more I've researched them (for a novel I'll never get around to writing) the more I like them. I definitely would've been one back in the day.
I think I'll stick with the '50's War of the Worlds.

The movie was alright, but it was one of those movies that a no-name actor could have played Tom Cruise's part, and it would've been the same.

+1
Tom Cruise didn't add anything to the movie.
It may have been more convincing without him in it, actually.
