Potentiometer help.

i am looking at this product for a manual boost controller i can control frominside the car. so if i running this off the 12vdc what kind of Potentiometer would i want to use, preferrably one that has enough resitance to keep it completely closed, and also zero resitance to open it all teh way. i figure it's going to be kinda of heavy duty... Thanks
