Anybody out there got a 91 turbo?

Post by Blackbart »

I am trying to piece together the wire harness on a 91 SS that I bought as a parts car but want to put back together.
The wires that go to the ignitor were cut, I got that section from a 92 turbo but when I went to splice it in I saw that there are only five wires on the 91 but six wires on the 92. The 92 has an extra wire that is yellow. Is there anybody out there that has a 91 who can tell me if they have 5 or 6 wires coming off their ignitor?

I have 5. Third pin from the left in the connector has a rubber plug in it.

Same here on my 91.

You should be fine. Vikash probably knows what the yellow wire is for.

I hooked up the five wires, left off the yellw one, the car started right up. I don't realy know how long it was sitting but the inspection ran out in 1999. Gotta hook up the clutch, brakes and intake and see if it drives.

It's a +12v supply that the ignitor doesn't actually use.
