What's a good price for a '94 Legacy 5spd Sport Sedan?

Post by MattDell »

What's a reasonable price for a '94 Legacy 5spd Sport Sedan with 170K miles? My roommate wants to buy one off of one of my friends, but a) I don't want to screw my friend over and b) I want it to be worth my roommate's while.

She likes her car, but she just doesn't know enough about it and won't do the required maintenance. It's beginning to run into some problems, like recently the knock sensor went bad and then one of her coolant pipes needed replaced. Also, from what I can tell, her oil pan is about to crack due to rust and she's also on the original turbo. I'm not sure how long those items are gonna last.

So, can anyone come up with a reasonable price?

Anywhere between $3500 and $500, depending on condition.

I included the condition of the car in my first post.

I think between $1500 and $2000 would probably be reasonable for the condition. What do you guys think? I'm a WRX owner and don't know much about the old-school legacies.

if anything, id say that does seem reasonable. maybe in that lower range closer to 1500.
