Just as the title says, for those who have the CES exhaust what did you pay? I'm looking more at just the downpipe and BEP, but who knows I might go with the whole system. Thanks - Derek

The whole system is roughly $1600US. The downpipe alone is right around $600US I believe.

What? I posted in this thread last night and it's not here. :?

Phil has got it pretty good. The systems start at about $1300-$1400 and go all the way up to $1600-$1800 depending apon wheather or not you get just the TBE or TBE with up-pipe and cross-pipe. It also depends on wheather or not you get a Race system, Semi-Race System or Street System.

CES systems change prices with the exchange rates though, depending on how the USD is fairing against the AusD. The systems might be cheaper or might be more expensive. E-mail Trevor to find out for sure.

I didn't get any gaskets for the uppipe or crosspipe. I didn't even get the downpipe to turbo gasket, but everything else I got.

Hmm.....I specifically asked about the gaskets and he said there were included. Are the flanges standard subaru flanges for mid-pipe to muffler section?

Oh ya, it will come with the mid-pipe to axleback 3" gasket too, sorry.

It just won't come with any of the Subaru gaskets. Dp to turbo, up-pipe to turbo, manifold to up-pipe ect...

Oh, and you should get the rally hanger system too. Very sweet.

I'd suggest getting new hangers as well. Also, check to make sure the holes are already drilled into the bars of the exhaust for the cotter pins. Washers are included as well. They go on the bars and the cotter pin goes into the hole. That way the cotter pin doesn't dig into the rubber exhaust hangers, cause the washer is there.

I didn't get new hangers and I kinda need them. I also didn't drill all the holes out. I didn't realize some of mine weren't predrilled. It sits fine now, and it has very little movement, but I would feel better if everything was as it should be if you know what I mean.

IIRC only the mid-pipe hanger comes predrilled for the cotter pin. The axle back portion is left undrilled so that you can drill them for a perfect alignment. Just line everything up perfect, slide the washer on the hanger snug up against the rubber hanger and then make your mark to drill out a hole for the cotter pin. That's what I did. The rally hanger setup keeps everything nice and tight, I love it.

I actually ran without the gasket for a while. I just used the BEP as a gasket, although after talking to MSR, they said that Trevor didn't recommend that, although it probably shouldn't hurt anything.

I guess the BEP was designed to sit on the other side of the gasket. So turbo, gasket, BEP, DP. I guess Trevor said that the BEP dividing plate was measured with the gasket thickness in mind, but with my BEP it fit fine without the gasket.

I ended up using my old turbo gasket without problems, but I'll be getting a new one soon.

Do you need a gasket between the BEP and the DP?

If so, I need to know whether to get two gaskets or something else.

No you shouldn't need two gaskets. I was wondering about that, too, but John Miles said one gasket was all you needed.

It goes turbo-gasket-BEP-DP. That's the way CES specs it.

The rally hanger system is that the metal hangers on the exhaust system will have drilled holes for a cotter pin. When you put the metal hangers in the rubber exhaust hangers, you then put a washer on that goes flush up against the rubber hanger. Then you put the cotter pin through the hole and it secures the system into the rubber hangers. You will get zero play in the system. It's so that during high speed cornering, or very bumpy conditions, the exhaust won't move around in the rubber hangers or come out all together. It's totally fricken sweet.

Maybe I'll try and get some pics.

Finally got the exhaust. Freakin Fedex farked this up hardcore. They delivered it incorrectly to a guy in California, and then didn't pick it up after the guy said he was going to be there until 1pm. I finally got a call from him, and called fedex....they said it was supposed to be delivered today, but it didn't make the truck. So after finding out where it is, I picked it up.

Freakin fedex.....

It's a beautiful exhaust, well crafted, and definitely worth the money.

I'll have to wait and see how it sounds and performs on the car.
